Art is made every week at the Arts Desire in Torrington! Located next to Platinum Salon in the Yankee Pedlar building, the Arts Desire hosts “Cocktails and Canvas” painting events for adults and “Cookies and Canvas” parties for children.  There’s even a “Cocktails and Wineglasses” where the participants create a special set of wineglasses. For the cost of the event,  participants receive the materials and supplies (the use of the paint and canvases or wine glasses), professional instruction and at the end of the event, the participant can bring home their own work of art! In addition to the regularly scheduled Canvas events, the Arts Desire hosts benefit canvas parties for worthy causes. Last week with students of the Torrington middle school, the Cocktails & Canvas party hosted a benefit party. Find the Arts Desire on facebook for more information!
