Landmark Student Theatre celebrates with Winnie-the-Pooh as he turns nearly 90 years old. Welcome to the Hundred Acre Wood, where Winnie the Pooh is once again in search of honey. Along the way, he meets his pals Tigger, Piglet, Rabbit, Owl, Kanga, Roo, Eeyore and Christopher Robin. Together, the animals learn about teamwork, friendship, and sharing snacks! Based on the beloved characters of A.A. Milne, this live theatre show with interactive sing-a-long is the perfect pick for young audiences. The beloved story features a birthday party for Pooh Bear, complete with a three story birthday cake!

Winnie the Pooh will show Saturday January 31st at 2pm & 6pm and on Sunday February 1st at 2pm on the Thomaston Opera House main stage.

Preparing for Winnie the Pooh in Torrington

The program will start off with a sing-a-long provided by children’s traveling showcase, the Sunshine Road, lead by Director and entertainer David Verdosci. Children will be invited to participate in familiar tunes and will be delighted by classic characters such as Winnie the Pooh played by veteran TOH performer from Thomaston, Connor Dunn, who was last seen in the LCT holiday production of a Christmas Carol. Pooh Bear’s friends, including little Piglet played by Megan Foell and wise old Owl played by Jonathan Yatco, both from Thomaston, are joind by a chorus of local actors that delightfully round out the youthful cast!
