Jennifer Hill is the creative force bringing an exciting event to Connecticut entitled S.W.A.N. (CT) day. For 8 years, Hill has brought this event to Connecticut to celebrate the SWANS in this empowering event.

Support Women Artists Now is an initiative to support women artists who create exceptional work and showcase their talent in a large festival forum.

This year SWAN Day will be 3/28/2015 at Illusions 169 Wolcott Road, Wolcott, CT starting at 6pm. It is considered an all ages event before 10pm; after 10pm it will be 18 an older as there will be burlesque dancers. Tickets in advance are only $20.00 (it will be $25 at the door) Attendees will be in for an exciting night!

There are two stages for musicians an in addition to burlesque there will be an aerialist, a hooper and belly dancer Anatolia (who was previously featured in a Nutmeg Chatter spotlight item).

Jennifer Hill is not solely the administrator of the event, Hill is a musician and performer herself and will perform during the event. Her band Jennifer Hill and Co was nominated for Best in CT in the New England Music Awards and the group is consistently ranked at or near the top in Hartford on reverbnation. Her album “Fifteen Minute Long Sentence” is an exceptional work and her upcoming album is projected to spark interest on a national music scene (Nutmeg Chatter enjoyed a sneak preview of that material and when we can share it, we will!)

The work that goes into promoting the event is a full time labor of love for Hill. Hill has set up multiple radio station interviews for her performers for SWAN day and coordinates the social media about the event. The event gets bigger every year as the list of performers is a “Who’s Who” of the musical talent in our state.  This year there will be two stages of performers to give as many SWANS their time in the spotlight to shine.
