From March 13 through 16th the Nutmeg Ballet Conservatory will present the graduation performances of their extraordinary students in the exquisite Premiere Studio at the Nutmeg.

Showcasing the work of the graduating class, the show will feature the talent of these pre-professional dancers, many of whom will continue their dancing education in college or pursue dancing careers in Ballet companies.  The show will also feature the Nutmeg Trainees, many of whom will return for the summer intensive programs and the year long programs in the fall. In addition, the Torrington School of Ballet students will also perform during the evening as the entire Nutmeg Ballet family celebrates the 2015 graduation with these performances.

There will have something for everyone who loves the world of ballet. The evening will begin with a performance of the classic “Les Sylphides” staged by Denise Warner Limoli.   Act Two starts with selections from “Sleeping Beauty” staged by Eleanor D’Antuono, Kirk Peterson, Tim Melady and Susan Szabo and “Variation for Eight” with Choreography by Joan Kunsch.  The evening will switch gears as the Nutmeg dancers will perform modern works “Airs Above Ground” (choreographed by Susan Szabo), “Solar Flares” choreographed by Moses Pendleton and staged by Tim Melady, “The Arrow of Time” choreographed by Kate St. Amand and culminating with “Trance Dance” choreographed by Artistic Director Victoria Mazzarelli.

The Graduation performances are open to the public; tickets can be purchased through the Warner box office.

The community is encouraged to come and enjoy the Graduation performance and see the incredible work of these amazing dancers at The Nutmeg!
