Kate St Amand uses a collaborative process with her dancers. By sharing the vision of the work, the dancers understand the emotions and context and this creates an especially moving and emotional performance. Fugue is inspired by a recognition that with all of our electronic devices and new means of communication we have somehow created a loss of intimacy and beauty with all of the quickness with which we communicate; this dance explores the richness of that topic.

There will be world class live music accompaniment by Rick Erickson, a magnificent organist who is the Director of the Bach Society, Houston.
