The Thomaston Jazz Orchestra brought holiday cheer to the Torrington Elks Lodge on the evening of Saturday 12/17/2016 for their first holiday gala, a musical extravaganza that is sure to grow and become a favorite tradition in Northwest Connecticut. Featuring all star musical guests, the professional sound of this wonderful orchestra filled the ballroom and not even the sudden Polar Vortex weather could stop the excitement and fun.

There was a 50/50 raffle, tasty appetizers from the executive chef of the Torrington Elks and a cash bar all in service to the extraordinary music, the star of the night. When VIP musical guests Catherine Quirk and Holly McCann began the celebration with songs we loved, my guest for the festivities (my daughter) asked me to dance. It was a wonderful moment. So I don’t have photos of Quirk and McCann’s performance in part because it was so inspiring!
