Leslie Elias is the founder and Artistic Director of the renowned Grumbling Gryphons Children’s Theater. For over 38 years and continuing, the Grumbling Gryphons have entertained young and the young at heart alike with wondrous participatory and engaging performances. Grumbling Gryphons provides performances, summer camps, workshops and residences for children and adults using subjects such as poetry and myth, building self esteem and dramatizing historical themes. The company was recognized in 2003 with a Connecticut Governor’s Arts Award. The State of Connecticut, Office of the Arts presented to Elias the 2018 Arts Hero Award for the North West Connecticut region
