On March 6, 2015, downtown Torrington will be the hub of activity as once again the community comes together for the monthly “Arts Walk”. As previously reported on Nutmeg Chatter, the Arts Walk is a relatively new initiative created by Karen Rossi of Karen Rossi Studios with the assistance  of artists and business owners Dennis Bialek of Stepping Stones Art Studio and Dawn Hill of Dawn Hill Designs.

Each month the Arts Walk celebrates a different theme. This month’s theme is “Going Green  which references both Irish inspired thematic elements for St Patrick’s Day as well as the concept of reusing and recycling in the creation of new works of art. It was reported in the press release that “Ginger Balch (In Sheep’s Clothing) will be featuring her re-purposed and recycled creations of knitted and crocheted plastic bags” while Karen Rossi Studio’s will host the work of Jeanine Molnar who uses re-purposed materials in her art.

Dawn Hill Designs and Kelly’s Crystals will each showcase Irish inspired artwork.
