After the discussion, Ralph Nader takes the time to sign a book for my young children (they are out of the frame in this photo)

The Winsted Book Fair is a two day event held on Saturday 7/30 (9 to 6pm) and Sunday 7/31 (10-2pm) being held on 414 Main Street near the intersection of Main Street and Elm. There are opportunities to hear guest speakers and receive signed copies of books.

There are deals that come with purchasing some books.

For instance with every $40 purchase, a patron will receive a $10 coupon to Noujaim’s Restaurant (which is on the same stretch of Main Street as this pop-up Book Fair location.

If one buys 2 books in the $5.00 category, a purchaser can obtain a third one (in the same category) for free!

If you’re reading this before the fair closes today Saturday 7/30 at 6pm or before the hours on Sunday 7/31 (10pm -2pm)  come on down and check out the tables of books and meet some of the authors (more information can be found at this website)here: http://www.winstedbookfestival.com/

Side note: During the week of 8/21 through 8/28 I will be reading Ralph Nader’s book and then will provide a write up and analysis right here on Nutmeg Chatter!
